This sky painting acts like a portal - the vast sky depicted within the almost miniature dimensions seems simultaneously, to draw the viewer in and transport them beyond. Made in the Warrumbungles, while on a field trip, this painting forms part of a series of tiny sky paintings, each a kind of song of reverence to the sky. (Thus the title ‘Evensong’).
