Developed through sustained observation of a creek in the Capertee Valley, the work reconfigures reflections of trees, foliage, and sky into a pictorial space where orientation is suspended and distinctions between water, land, and atmosphere begin to dissolve.

The composition is anchored by the reflected trunk, around which luminous passages of sky and foliage gather and disperse. Gestural brushwork sits alongside more considered passages and subtle palette knife marks, creating a surface that oscillates between solidity and dissolution while maintaining a quiet sense of depth and immersion.
