Painting Collections

This body of work brings together a series of contemporary Australian landscape painting collections developed through sustained engagement with place, observation and material process. Working across locations including the Blue Mountains, lagoon environments and Central Australia, the paintings examine how landscape is experienced as much as observed.

Each collection explores specific conditions—light, atmosphere, reflection and spatial depth—through which the image is constructed. Shifts in weather, time and terrain are not simply depicted but actively shape the painted surface.

Across these works, landscape emerges as both a physical environment and a perceptual field, where memory, duration and direct experience inform the act of painting.
