On the Wing

These paintings explore moments of suspension within landscape—glimpses of movement and change where forms appear briefly held in time. Moving between observed and imagined spaces, the works suggest a shifting vantage point, where the viewer is both grounded and lifted, held between proximity and distance.

Rather than presenting complete or fixed views, the compositions operate as fragments—moments of passage shaped through gesture, light, and spatial ambiguity. Through a restrained, painterly language, the works emphasise the interplay between material process and perception.

On the Wing reflects an ongoing engagement with landscape as a site of transition, where movement, stillness, and attention converge within the act of painting.
