‘to move, to breathe, to float, to fly…’

Birds Gallery, Melbourne

About the Exhibition

The ethereal skyscapes in this exhibition explore transient moments, inviting you ‘to move, to breathe, to float, to fly’ into and beyond the everyday.

‘to move, to breathe, to float, to fly…’ evokes moving into and within different states of activity and receptivity. To move is to shift, to physically interact with the world, to travel in and through, without the necessity of a purpose or destination. To breathe is both a choice and an involuntary bodily function. It is life-giving, filling the body with energy and enabling meditative reflection. To float suggests a non-linear journeying, of being carried along by a current of air or water. To fly suggests the beating of wings, soaring, or gliding on the breeze.
